Where possible, to place a clean pad of cotton wool or paper towel underneath the stained area. stained area.
Apply the agent by rubbing the stain with a wetted pad, working from the outside of the stain towards
the centre - this stops the stain from spreading.

If the fabric could be damaged by rubbing (e.g. upholstery) use a wetted pad to squeeze the agent through the stain.

Change the pads as they take up the ink stain.

Amodex rarely removes color from garments. However, fabric dying processes vary. We ALWAYS recommend testing for colorfastness before treating a stain with Amodex.

To Pretreat Stains Before Laundering
  1. Apply Amodex to stains. For example, use it to pre-treat the rings on shirt collars and cuffs.
  2. Gently rub with your toothbrush.
  3. Launder with your other washables using your regular detergent. Amodex is safe even for spotting stains and leaving on the fabric until you are ready to launder.

  2. Rub in well with your Amodex brush, a toothbrush or a clean cloth.
  3. Continue rubbing stained area until the stain disappears. Be careful not to rub too hard on delicate surfaces.
  4. Rinse the Amodex. (For small areas, we advise using a spray bottle filled with clean water. For large areas on carpets or upholstery, a cleaning machine filled with clean water works best.)
  5. Rinse thoroughly. Air dry or dry with a hairdryer to avoid any watermarks on delicate fabric.
Note: Should the stained area turn yellow after treating with Amodex do not worry. Occasionally it is difficult to completely rinse carpets or upholstery. The yellow is dried Amodex residue. Simply rinse the area again thoroughly with clean water and allow to air dry.

  1. Place paper towel under stain.
  2. Apply Amodex to the stain.

Q. Is Amodex safe to use on dry cleanable garments or delicate washables?
A. Absolutely! Amodex's unusual soap formula is safe to use on most dry cleanable fabrics such as cashmere, wool and silk. Simply apply Amodex to the stain, rub in well, rinse and air dry.

Q. Will Amodex remove the fabric color?
A. No, Amodex should not remove the color. We do advise that you test your fabric for colorfastness as some fabric dyes are less stable.

Q. What should I do if the stained area yellowed after using Amodex?
A. Since Amodex is a soap formula, it must be rinsed. It's sometimes difficult to tell if you've thoroughly rinsed treated areas such as upholstery or carpeting. Yellowing is simply dried Amodex residue. Re-rinse the area and the yellowing will disappear.

Q. Is Amodex strictly for ink?
A. Amodex successfully removes both water-based (wine, coffee, tea, etc) and greasy stains (salad dressing, mustard, balsamic vinegar) and even curry! The only stains we know Amodex will not remove are rust and mildew.

A. After rinsing the area, we recommend drying the fabric with a hair dryer. Continue gently rubbing the area with your finger nail to evenly distribute the heat.
